The staff and Management of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Jackson and connected families to announce the earthly departure of Mr. Sylvester Jackson, 89, of Goldsboro, NC. Mr. Jackson passed away at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC.

Mr. Sylvester Jackson Jr. age 89, departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center of Goldsboro, NC.
Sylvester was born in Wayne County on May 22, 1933, to his parents, the late Sylvester Jackson Sr., and Lillie Mae Artis Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mattie Mae Jackson, Marion Jackson, Jasper James Jackson, Eugene Jackson, and Marvin Jackson Sr.

He received his education in the public school system of Wayne County.
Sylvester was called by many, “Uncle Seal”. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing the bass, and especially dancing.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Evangeline Dixon Jackson of the home, and a special niece and nephew who was his caretakers, Barbara Jackson (Craig) Williams of the home.
He is survived by Brothers: Bishop Carlton(Alean) Jackson, of Goldsboro, NC, Ronnie (Angeline) Jackson, and Elgin Jackson of Wilmington, NC;
His sisters of Goldsboro, NC: Bertie Lee Jackson Williams, Josephine Jackson Lawson, Mary Ann Jackson Lewis (Randolph) of Princeton, NC, Janice Jackson Carroll of Wilson, NC; and another special niece Carl Ann Darden as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
