WCPS Publishes Special Online Collections

The Wayne County Public Schools Curriculum & Instruction Department is pleased to present two special digital publications of student work for 2021-2022.

Wayne Collection – Since 1985, this annual publication highlights student artwork and written work across the school district. Submissions are made up of student work selected by each school. Under the direction of Christy White, Title IV Enrichment Facilitator – and compiled by Print and Copy Shop Specialist, Tracy Cox – the online gallery can be accessed at www.waynecountyschools.org/WayneCollection.aspx

“This collection highlights the simple work of our smallest kindergarteners to the complex and skilled expressions of our seniors,” states Mrs. White. “We appreciate all of the teachers who cultivate the talents and abilities of our students, and for all of the staff who help make this Wayne Collection possible to showcase this amazing student work.”

Title I Student Recognition Showcase – For the first time, the Title I Program is highlighting special poster and essay submissions in a digital showcase. The submissions include posters from PreK – Grades 2 students. Essay excerpts from Grades 3-8 students are also highlighted. This year’s Title I poster and essay program theme was “Everyday Heroes.” Under the direction – and compiled by – Caroline Brown, Title I Program Specialist, the online gallery can be accessed at https://www.waynecountyschools.org/TitleIStudentRecognitionShowcase.aspx

“The poster and essay excerpts highlight the skills being developed by students in our classrooms,” states Ms. Brown. “We are pleased to present this digital showcase to highlight the quality of our student work and to recognize this year’s participants.”
