17 Year Old Killed In Homicide

The Goldsboro Police Department’s “D” Shift responded Friday around 5 PM to the area of N. George Street and Pearson Street in Goldsboro, NC in reference to a possible shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 16 year-old victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. A second 17 year-old victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, was located in the 300 block of Pearson Street.

Medical personnel pronounced the 17 year-old deceased on scene. The surviving victim was transported to Wayne UNC Health, and then transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Investigators and Crime Scene Specialists with Goldsboro Police Department responded to the scene. The 16 year-old victim is in critical condition. The investigation continues.
