The Goldsboro Police Department’s “B” Shift responded to the area of Royall Avenue and N. Center Street near Greenleaf Street on June 1, 2022, at approximately 3:19 a.m., in reference to a one-car traffic crash with extensive debris in the roadway to include a damaged utility pole blocking the roadway.

Once officers arrived on scene, they discovered the vehicle had flipped multiple times and the driver had been ejected from the vehicle and sustained severe injuries.

While on scene, the driver was pronounced deceased by medical officials. Next of kin notification was made June 1, 2022. The victim was 45 year old Tremayne Ulysses Armwood of Harris Street in Goldsboro.
