May 13, 2022, 81, Clayton –

Arnette Ward Cogdell, 81, of Clayton departed this walk of life Friday, May 13, 2022 at Johnston Health in Clayton. 

A private family homegoing service was held Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Luke Church of Christ (DOC) in Mt. Olive.  Burial followed at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.  Viewing was held one hour prior to the service.

She was born in Wayne County on June 27, 1940 to the late Cleveland and Lillie Wynn Ward.  She was retired from Cherry Hospital after 30 years of dedicated service. 

Surviving is her loving daughter, Veronica Monta Cogdell Green (Dwight) of Clayton; a granddaughter, Jasmine Nicole Cogdell; her sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
