Jaddius Ray Horton, 37, of Smithfield passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh surrounded by his family. Jadd was born in Wake County on December 21, 1984 to Dalma Horton and Renee Gentry Horton.

Jadd is preceded in death by his brother, Noble Gentry Strickland, and his grandfather, James Dixon.

In addition to his parents, Jadd is survived by his children, Skylah Marie Horton of Smithfield, and James Mason Horton of Smithfield; significant other, Tiffany Jones of Smithfield; sisters, Rachael Horton of Princeton and Amber Morey and husband Nicholas of Lucama; brother, Daniel Horton of Linden; step-father, Donald Jones of Princeton; maternal grandparents, Wanda O’Neal and Bill Adams of Selma; nieces and nephews, Mikayla Brown, Everett Morey, Arlo Morey, Shaun Horton, and several other family and friends.

Jadd was a loving daddy, son, brother, and friend. While not working, he enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a proud father. He loved to fish, but family meant the most to him. He will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
