Grace Chase Smith, 94, of Princeton, with her family surrounding her, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born in Greene County, July 12, 1927, to the late Oscar and Dora Vaughn Chase. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith is proceeded in death by her husband; Lloyd Jasper Smith, her brothers; Sidney, Darius (D.B), Lloyd, Gurney (Bud),and sisters; Beatrice, Esther, Eula and Alma Marie.
Mrs. Smith loved her church. She was a member of the Princeton Church of God and at the time of her death, she was the oldest living member of the church. Mrs. Smith has been a member of The Church of God since the late 1950’s. She has been a faithful Christian since she was 19 years old. Her family was very important to her and she loved them dearly. Her memory will remain in their hearts forever.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Lloyd Smith Jr. and wife Wanda of Saratoga, Kenneth Smith and wife Brenda of Princeton, Randy Smith and wife Maggie of Princeton, grandchildren; Kenneth Smith Jr., Rhonda Creel, Jamie Smith, April Hockaday, Keith Smith, Dean Smith, Will Smith, great grandchildren; Lauryn, Reba, Josh N., Regan, Selah, Ashlynn, Andrew, Josh H., Emily and Payton, 4 great greatgrandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday May 16, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Allen Strickland and Reverend Roger Banks officiating. The committal service will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday, May 17th at the Princeton Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm prior to the Funeral Service at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations.
