NC Primary Elections Underway

Key Races to be Decided in Tuesday's General Election

NC Primary Elections Underway

Polls are open in this year’s North Carolina primary election, along with general elections in several Eastern Carolina cities, including Mayor of Mount Olive.

Voting locations opened at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. In several Eastern Carolina cities, voters will be casting ballots in municipal elections that were postponed last year as new district lines were drawn up.

It is important to know where your assigned voting location is before you head to the polls because one-stop voting ended Saturday. Of the 74,787 registered voters in Wayne County,  6,180 or 8.26% took at advantage of in-person early voting.

People are required to vote in their assigned precinct. You can check on the Wayne County Board of Elections website or visit the North Carolina State Board of Elections website to find your voting information.

Polls close Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Results will be available on GoldsboroDailyNews.com
