Janice Tyndall Jones, 71, of Goldsboro passed away Monday at Wayne UNC Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Marvin Edward and Nancy Crumpler Tyndall, and is the wife of John W. Jones. Janice was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, where she worked in the AWANA program, Junior church, and sang in the choir. She was retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital after 32 years of service. She adored her family and enjoyed the comfort of her pets, especially her dog, Stella.

A memorial service will be held at Freedom Baptist Church on Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Jonathan Smith and Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Committal services will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Freedom Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, Janice is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Dale and husband, Harold of Princeton; son, Jeffery Jones and wife, Kathleen of Jacksonville; sisters, Emma Faye Keeling of Portland, Oregon and twin sister, Janet May and husband, Harry of Goldsboro; grandchildren,  Allie Wise, Michael Wells, Matthew Wells and wife, Morgan, John Wells and their father Greg Wells.

Janice is preceded in death by nephew Mark Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to the Freedom Baptist Church, 300 Country Day Rd., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
