Mildred Ferrell Parnell, 87, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County on October 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Clifton Ferrell and Winnie Holland Ferrell.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Parnell and her daughter, Barbara Lynne Parnell.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Donna Parnell Grantham and husband, Michael; sisters, Rose Ferrell Holland and Iris Ferrell Pittman (Charles); grandchildren, Heather Grantham Pendergraph and husband, Matthew, and Traci Lynne Grantham Lane and husband, Josh; and great-grandchildren, Michaela Pendergraph, Parker Lane, and Charlotte Lane.

A service to celebrate Mildred’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Al Warrick and Rev. Lewis Forsythe officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
