Geoffrey Alexander Carr, 46, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Born in Wayne County on September 12, 1975, he was the son of Geoffrey Bedford and Beverly Clark Carr.

In addition to his loving parents, Geoff is survived by his sister, Summer Cortinas; brother, John Carr and wife, Carey Pope; nieces, Maebelle and Enid; nephew, Linus; and his beloved feline companion, Sissy.

Geoff was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Carr; paternal grandparents, John and Norma Carr; and his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Virginia Clark.

From an early age, Geoff had a love for cars. Although he enjoyed anything with four wheels, Chevrolets were his all-time favorite. While in high school, Geoff found his passion working in an auto-body repair shop. He took great pride in his work. Geoff spent his entire working career as an auto-body repairman.

Geoff’s radiant personality afforded him numerous friends. No matter what, if you were a friend of Geoff, you remained his friend for life.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Andy Stovall officiating.
