Military Spouses And Children In Goldsboro To Receive Appreciation Packages

The non-profit organization “Support Military Families” will highlight military spouses and their children in Goldsboro at the North Carolina Community Federal Credit Union off of E. Ash Street. On Friday, May 6 at 9:30am, they will deliver “Appreciation Care Packages” as a gesture of goodwill for their daily sacrifices.

Officials say the program is the only one of its kind in the United States. Co-Founders Dr. Steven and Mrs. Diane Rumley say the care packages contain a wide array of gifts, including jewelry as well as a Bible. Additionally, each “Littlest Heroes Appreciation Care Package” has an assortment of gifts. Going into its thirteenth year, Support Military Families serves North Carolina military bases Fort Bragg, Camp Lejeune, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina.
