Fort Bragg Officer To Replace Commander At Fort Benning

The current deputy chief of staff for the United States Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, Major General Curtiss Buzzard, will replace the top commander at Fort Benning. Army officials say Major General Patrick Donahoe plans to retire in July as commanding general at the base in Georgia.

Donahoe has served nearly 34 years in the Army and has been top commander at Fort Benning since July 2020. Buzzard will participate in a change-of-command ceremony on July 14, 2022 at Fort Benning.
