(GDN) – On Saturday, April 30, 2022 the Mar-Mac Fire Department and Wayne County EMS Station 8 were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Old Mount Olive Highway. First responders say the driver was heading south toward Outlaw Road, went off the shoulder and crashed into the yard of a nearby home.

Police say the driver hit a mailbox before hitting the driveway and flipping the motorcycle. The driver was transported to the hospital with injuries. The accident is being investigated by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
