CEO Announces Retirement From Goldsboro YMCA

Bruce Griffin, CEO of The Goldsboro Family YMCA since November of 2018, has announced his retirement from the organization. The news was shared with the staff and Board volunteers on Monday, April 25, 2022.

While retiring from full-time employment, Bruce will continue to serve as a part-time consultant with the North Carolina Alliance of YMCAs where he will provide support to 25 YMCAs throughout the state in the areas of Strategic Planning, Board Governance, CEO Search and Coaching as well as Collaborations and Networking.

Griffin has served the YMCA movement, including as a part of the National Staff for the YMCA of the USA, for over 35 years including stints in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Goldsboro, Asheville, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and South Florida. His last day will be June 24th.
