Firefighters contained a blaze inside an apartment on Daly Boulevard off of County Road in Mount Olive. On Friday, April 15, 2022, stations from Mount Olive, Dudley and Calypso responded to the scene.

Commissioners Harley Carmicheal and Vicky Darden say they saw the fire burning in the bushes behind one of the apartments prior to the incident.

Luckily, the fire was contained to the outside of the unit and no one was hurt. Operation Chief Greg Wiggins says he estimates approximately $2000 in damages.
