Police Search On Foot To Catch Car Break-In Suspect In Goldsboro

Goldsboro Police say 57-year-old Willie D. Jones Jr., of Goldsboro was arrested and charged with RDO, Breaking and Entering Into a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On April 11, at approximately 1:37 a.m., the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a call in the 1400 block of South John Street. Upon arrival, it was determined that a suspect entered into a vehicle belonging to the victim.

After gathering information from the victim, a suspect description was determined, and officers began canvassing the area on foot. A subject matching the suspect description was located in the woods behind the cul-de-sac at 103 Winslow Circle.

This location was adjacent to the original crime scene. Jones was identified and transported to the Wayne County Magistrates Office. He received a $3,500 secured bond and was placed in the custody of the Wayne County Detention Center.
