April 10, 2022, 67, Goldsboro –

Johnny Ray Baughman,  age 67, passed away on Sunday at his residence. Born in Burke County, he was the son of the late  Jack Leon Baughman and the late Betty Jean Frady Kirby. He was formerly employed as a welder with AP Parts, was a Veteran of the US Army, and a member of the American Legion Post 11.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Harper officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Baughman is survived by his wife, Linda Jones Baughman; a son, Jeb Christopher Hart; a brother, Dusty Roberts; a sister, Wanda Lawling; two grandchildren; stepbrother, Doug Kirby; step-sister, Kathy Washington; his faithful companion, his dog, “Stacey”.
