Linda Mae Corbett Beasley, 73, passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, April 2, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care. Born on December 19, 1948, Linda was the daughter of the late Albert Corbett and Ethel Mae Jones Corbett.

Family was paramount in Linda’s life. She loved spending time with her family, and the apples of her eye were her grandbabies. Linda loved going to all the ball games that her grandkids played in. With a heart for others, Linda was known as a great caregiver. Linda had a knack of making those she helped feel just like a part of her family.

Linda had a love for Jesus and His blessings in her life. Linda attended church at Liberty Pentecostal Church. Linda’s strong faith and courageous walk are a testament to how she lived her life.

A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastors Jason Howard and Barry House presiding. The family will receive friends the hour prior, from 6:00 P.M. until 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Pikeville Cemetery on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Tammy Wingard and husband, Tony of Pikeville; son, Scott Beasley and wife, Megan of Saulston; grandchildren, Chris Wingard, Chase Hare, Jake Beasley, Haley Morgan, Collin Beasley, and Tyler Turnage; great-grandchildren, Jarrett and Jaxson; and siblings, Brenda Hales (Robert) of Nahunta and Donald Corbett (Linda) of Fremont.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Beasley; son, Jimmy Beasley; grandson, Kyle Wingard; brothers Charles and Durwood Corbett and son-in-law, David Wingard.
