Bridge Dedicated In Honor Of Fallen State Trooper Nolan J. Sanders

(GDN) – North Carolina Transportation officials dedicated the O’Berry Road bridge over U.S. 117 in honor of Trooper Nolan J. Sanders on Wednesday. He was 28 and had been with the State Highway Patrol for five years. Sanders was a member of the Indian Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Sanders died while on patrol when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash on March 27, 2020, on Interstate 795 outside Goldsboro.
