William Alex Conner, 58, of Goldsboro passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Conner was born in Wayne County on December 18, 1963 to the late William Carr Conner and Hilda Grimes Conner.  He was Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 14.  He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Wheeler Conner; one daughter, Krystal Godwin and husband, Brian of Grantham; three sisters, Lynn Smith of Rosewood, Inez Pender of Goldsboro and Rita Hatley of New Bern and four grandchildren, Kaden Cox of the home, Larisa Conner and River & Memphis Godwin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnn Holland.
