March 14, 2022, 79, Clinton –

Julia Aileen Worley Friend, 79, of Clinton passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at The Magnolia Assisted Living in Sampson County.  She was born in Wayne County on December 11, 1942 to the late David A. Worley and Luria Kathleen Hartley Worley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy Friend and her siblings; 4 brothers, Steve, Willie, Ronald and Rickey Worley and 2 sisters, Mavis Worley Young and Gail Worley Singleton.

Julia is survived by a son, Tony Marcus Lane of Pikeville; and a grandson, Matthew Hofmann of Titusville, Florida.

The Funeral Service will be held at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 12:00 Noon with the Reverend Steve Singleton and Reverend Bill Cotton officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
