Brenda Kay Howett, 72, of Pikeville passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at her home.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Seagrove, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends following the service.  

Ms. Howett was born in Asheboro, North Carolina on May 7, 1949 to the late Troy and Emma King Trotter.  She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Seagrove.  

She is survived by one son, Robert F. Howett of Pikeville; one daughter, Lois Lee Holloman and husband, Michael of Pikeville; one brother, Charles Trotter and wife, Sharon of Bear Creek; one sister, Emily Sue Lawrence and husband, Ben of Goldsboro; five grandchildren, LeAnne Hogue, Ashley Underwood, Troy Howett, Amanda Howett and Tristin Howett; two great-grandchildren, Aurora Hogue and Emma Crosby.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Howett was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Trotter.  

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
