(GDN)-Firefighters from Thoroughfare and an EMS unit were dispatched Saturday afternoon to the scene of a two vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in the 1600 block of U.S 13 South about three miles North of Grantham.

The lady that was riding the motorcycle was injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital with no delay. The motorcycle was heading north on Highway 13 when it collided with a SUV.

The road wasn’t blocked and firefighters were directing the traffic through the scene. The accident is under an investigation by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
