Cindy Pennington Warrick, 59, completed life’s work and began an eternity of peace on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Cindy was born in Sampson County to Catherine Burgess Pennington and the late Bobby Murl Pennington on December 3, 1962.
Dedicated to her work, Cindy was as loyal as they come. Working for the Pitt County School System for 22 years and currently as the cafeteria manager for Farmville Middle School, Cindy hardly ever missed a day of work. Even on occasions when she wasn’t feeling great, she was still dependable and would show up to work right on schedule.
Selfless and loving, Cindy always put others before herself. She and her husband of 20 years, Tim, spent many wonderful days together, just enjoying each other’s company. They had all the happiness and contentment they ever wanted in their life together at home. Cindy also found much joy in doing her crossword puzzles.
She loved her family deeply, and their happiness was constantly a top priority. To see a smile on their face was the ultimate reward for Cindy—a reward she often received in their presence. Her most significant role in life and what she did best was being a loving mother and best friend to her daughter, Sarah. They were inseparable.
Throughout her life, Cindy lived her life with resiliency and a love for life. She faced her obstacles with grace and dignity and with an abiding faith in Jesus Christ. She could light up a room with her joyous personality and radiant smile. Anyone who knew her knew she could make friends with anyone and was a kind, and loving person to all she met. Cindy was blessed to have so many loyal life-long friends to share the wonderful memories and experiences with over the years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Cindy’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Chris Watkins and Rev. Robert Ellis officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Pennington Family Cemetery, 1587 Crows Foot Road, Mount Olive, NC.
In addition to her mother, Cindy is survived by her husband, Tim Warrick; son, Chris Denning; daughter, Sarah Ina Elizabeth Warrick; brothers, Buddy Pennington and Murl Pennington; sisters, Lesa Pennington, Renee Pennington and Robin Pennington; and several nieces and nephews she loved very much. She is also survived by her mother-in-law and special caregiver, Janet Warrick.
The family would like to give special thanks to her wonderful school family, and the nurses and doctors who cared for her and her family in so many kind and thoughtful ways through her sickness and during this time of loss.
