Manuel Soria Avila, 56, passed away at his home on February 18, 2022. Born in Michoacon, Mexico on November 26, 1965, he is the son of Jose Amparo Soria Ponce and Glafira Avila.

Manuel will be remembered for his passion and love for farming and raising his own animals. He had lambs, chickens, pigs and many other animals. He was always involved with his passion for animals. When he would get home from work on the farm, he enjoyed nothing more than going out and tending to his animals. Soccer was also a passion in Manuel’s life. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids on his farm.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Mary of the Angels located at 3262 US-117, Mt. Olive, NC with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends the evening prior, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Seymour Funeral Home.

In addition to his parents, Manuel is survived by his children, Jomaira Soria and husband, Miguel Baltazar, Manuel Soria, Jr., and Jasmine Soria; grandchildren, Jacob Soria, Isaiah Soria, Joel Soria, Infiniti Pridgen, and Sophia Soria; brothers, Gaspar Soria, Jorge Soria, Baltazar Soria, and Jesus Soria; sisters, Ana Soria, Consuelo Soria, Teresa Soria, and Maria Elena Soria; the mother of his children, Ma De Jesus Sandoval; and his partner, Irene Avila.
