North Carolina Pickle Festival Returns To In-Person For 2022

(GDN) — The North Carolina Pickle Festival will be an “in-person” event this year. The 2020 celebration was canceled because of the COVID 19 pandemic.  Officials say it would have coincided with the town’s 150th anniversary. In 2021, the Pickle Fest was held primarily in a virtual format.  The 2022 festival is currently seeking vendors and sponsors. The deadline for both is April 1st.  Other festival-related events, including the Tour de Pickle bike ride and the Cuke Patch 5K Glow Run, are also in the planning. Those applications should be available online in the next few weeks. The festival kicks off Friday, April 22nd from 6 – 9 PM with the main day on Saturday, April 23rd in downtown Mount Olive. Learn more about the festival at www.ncpicklefest.org.
