Eastern Wayne put up a good fight, but in the end, the Warriors fell to Beddingfield 45-36 in the finals of the Neuse Six 2A Conference tournament on Friday evening.
Jada Hamilton led the Warriors with 14 points, while Shuntay Douglas scored 10 points.
Eastern Wayne ends the regular season with a 14-9 overall record. The Warriors earned a spot in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2A playoffs.
The No. 17 Warriors travel to No. 16 North Pitt (18-8) on Tuesday.
