Frances Kay Simmons Smith, age 74, passed away Wednesday at her residence. Born in Huntington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Simmons and the late Opal Lee Sias Simmons and wife of the late John Ed Smith, Sr.
A service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.
She is survived by her children, Dee Smith, Kathleen Luzadder and husband, Mike and John Smith, Jr. and wife, Suzanne; a sister, Patsy Cook; her grandchildren, Mary, Joey, Sara, Grace, Aidan, Jordan and Greyson; a great-grandson, Mikey; three four-legged babies, Molly, Jojo and Bruce and numerous nieces and nephews.
