Goldsboro Police Department Working To Address Staffing Shortages

(GDN) — The Goldsboro Police Department is still in need of new recruits.

Sgt. Jason Adams, the Community Partnership Coordinator for the GPD, offered an update on the department’s staffing levels during Thursday’s Operation Unite Goldsboro Community Roundtable.

Adams says there are currently 20 frozen positions in the Goldsboro P.D., and there are ten open positions they are allowed to fill.

However, Sgt. Adams says there has been a decrease in trainees in the local Basic Law Enforcement Training classes.

The Goldsboro Police Department has put up a recruiting video on its Facebook page
