(GDN) — A pedestrian is struck by a Kinston Police car.  Around 4 PM on Thursday, the marked City of Kinston police vehicle was in the intersection of Washington Avenue turning south onto Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard.  That’s when the KPD says a 28-year-old female walked into the path of the police vehicle.  The cruiser and pedestrian collided.  The female was taken to UNC Lenoir to be checked for injuries.  The State Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation into the collision.
