Boys Basketball: WCDS Dominates Village Christian In Playoff Opener (PHOTO GALLERY)

Wayne Country Day opened the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 2A playoffs with a dominant 83-37 victory against Village Christian on Tuesday evening.

Collin Tanner scored a game-high 21 points, while Nayshin Waller was right behind Tanner with 20 points. Zane Cogdell and Jordan Cooper finished with 11 points apiece.

Kayleb Coles contributed seven points, and Jai Williams had six points.

The second-seeded Chargers (23-7 overall) advance to face No.7 Rocky Mount Academy in the second round on Thursday.
