Judith Elaine “Judy” Myers Brogden, age 78, of the Beautancus community near Mount Olive, went to be with her Lord Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, 2022. She was at home when she crossed over.

Judy was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie Laura Swinson Myers, and she was their only child. She had been employed at Wayne Memorial Hospital as a nursing assistant and was a member of Bear Marsh Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at Bear Marsh Church with burial to follow in the Calypso Cemetery. The family will have visitation at the church during the hour before the service, and at other times, they will be at the home.

Judy is survived by her husband, Douglas Brogden; two sons, Jeff Brogden and wife, Bonnie, and Tracy Brogden and wife, Felicia, all of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Ethan Brogden and Molly Brogden, both of Mount Olive, Zachary Brogden and wife, Haley, and Benjamin Brogden and wife, Skylar, all of Newton Grove, Nathan Stafford, Nikki Lopes, and Haley Stafford, all of the Mount Olive area; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Brogden, Owen Heath, and Jayden Anderson; along with several cousins.
