Louise Godwin Whitfield, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022.

Born in Wayne County on September 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Litman C. Holland and Hazel Hinnant.

A graveside service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro.

Louise is survived by her son, Kenneth Sherald Whitfield Jr. of Pikeville and cousins, Betty Kearney and Karen Pate.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth Sherald Whitfield.
