(GDN) – New cases of the coronavirus are trending down in Wayne County.
According to Thursday’s figures from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, 2,233 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Wayne County over the past two weeks. Wayne County has recorded 359 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began. That’s an additional 17 COVID deaths since this time last week.
Over 4,500 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 across North Carolina.
