(GDN) — The State Highway Patrol is trying to reunite a recovered firearm with its rightful owner. The pistol was found in the late night hours of August 1st, 2021 on U.S. 117 Alt. near Outlaw Road following a vehicle pursuit that involved a trooper. The pistol is described as a black 9mm semi-automatic. The owner can claim their firearm by contacting Sgt. Benton with the State Highway Patrol office in Wayne County at 919-344-0225.
