Girls Basketball: Southern Wayne Enjoys Senior Night

Southern Wayne won its 17th game in a row by dominating South Johnston 58-28 on Tuesday.

Nevaeh Hines-Bass led the Saints with a game-high with 15 points, Ta’Niyah Glaspie had 11 points, while Elaina Laine and Jamaiya Bass scored 7 points. Laci Capri contributed 5 points.

Southern Wayne also honored their seven seniors – Capri, Nerchka Maxi, Demia Mickens, Sara Lopez, Angela Jones, JaMaya Leach and Diamond McClarin – for their dedication to the Southern Wayne girls’ basketball team

The Saints (17-0 overall, 9-0 QCC) travel to Smithfield-Selma on Friday. 

The Southern Wayne JV girls’ basketball team won its game against South Johnston 23-17. Kyren Strong had a game-high 10 points., while Nygeria Thompson scored 9 points.
