Drought Conditions Disappear In Wayne County

(GDN) – The dry conditions that have persisted for weeks are almost entirely gone in Wayne County.  The latest map released by the U.S. Drought Monitor last week shows only the extreme southern area of Wayne County remains “Abnormally Dry.”  Otherwise, the county is officially out of the dry and drought conditions.  The drought conditions have eased across North Carolina, with only the western and southern areas of the state still experiencing dry conditions.
