Mrs. Tersa Broadhurst Teachey, 69, passed on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. No formal services will be held at this time.
She was born in Wayne County, NC to Jane Wooten and the late Wilbert Broadhurst Sr. on March 23, 1952. Leaving to cherish her memories are her mother, Jane Broadhurst; son, Steven (Angie) Broadhurst of Utah; daughter, Yvette (David) of New York and son Nicholas( Daisy) of Ohio; sisters: Deborah Hobbs, Jane Broadhurst and Wilma Williamson (Nelson); brothers: Jerry Broadhurst, Wilbert Jr. Broadhurst and Ricky Moore.
It saddens us to say she took her last breath January 23, 2022. Within her 69 years of life Tersa, also known as “Resa/ Pig” was a very strong-willed and strong-hearted woman. Tersa loved to set things straight while at the same time teaching others never to allow people to walk over them. Her family and friends know her for being very vocal. Tersa dedicated the last days of her life to let her family know how much they meant to her. She always wanted to be around her family. And the love she had for others could never be altered. She was a pure heart. And her soul shined so bright. She was an amazing mother, sister, child, niece, aunt, and friend to many. But her biggest joy came from being a grandmother. Tersa was a different kind of grandmother, that only her grandchildren could understand. The lessons she has taught her grandchildren will continue to live and be passed on. Although Tersa is no longer of the flesh her close family and friends know that her spirit lives on! Her laugh will always be remembered and her time spent on earth will never be in vain. Because through her family she lives. As a family, we all want to thank God for the time he allowed us to enjoy every hug, kiss, and life lesson from her. But until we all meet again, may she Rest In Peace. Tersa Teachey Broadhurst – a beautiful soul and a beloved grandmother.
