(GDN) – Wayne County continues to record thousands of new coronavirus cases each week.  

According to Thursday’s figures from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, 3,268 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Wayne County over the past two weeks.  Wayne County has recorded 342 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic began. 

Over 5,000 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 across North Carolina.
