Wayne County’s Drought Conditions Improve

(GDN) — Drought conditions are slowly evaporating across Wayne County. According to the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, Wayne County is now listed as “Abnormally Dry,” and improvement from the moderate and severe drought conditions experienced over the previous several weeks. The conditions have also improved across the entire state of North Carolina. The latest drought map was released on Thursday, so it has not taken into account the winter storm that struck Eastern North Carolina late last week.
