January 21, 2022, 73, Goldsboro –

James Paul Fulghum, Jr., age 73, passed away Friday morning at Wayne/UNC Healthcare. He was the son of the late James Paul Fulghum, Sr. and Beatrice M. Fulghum.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with his brother-in-law, Deacon Steve May officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday. At other times the family will be at the home of his daughter. 

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Weeks & husband, Allan; sisters, Glenda May, Patsy Anderson and Helen Ellington; brother, Wesley Thompson; three grandchildren, Emersen King, Anastyn King and Mason Weeks: his special canine companion, “Max”; along with several nephews and nieces. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Paul Fulghum, III.
