Debra Joy McCubbins Benson, 68, of Goldsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her home. Debra was born in Marion County, Indiana on November 20, 1953 to the late Courtland Leroy McCubbins and Pauline Amanda Hawkins McCubbins.

In addition to her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard McCubbins and Jack McCubbins.

Debra is survived by her loving husband Steve Benson; sons, David Sande of Wilmington, Bryan Sande of Pine Level, Craig Sande of Clayton; daughter, Tammy Stephenson of Clayton; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Clyde McCubbins of Tallahassee, Florida; sister, Lila Ward of New Castle, Indiana, and several other family and friends.

She will be dearly missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
