On Friday, January 14 at 9:19 pm, Troop C, District 2 members responded to the scene of a pedestrian hit and run collision involving a serious injury on NC 55 near Townsend Road in southern Wayne County.

The investigation revealed that a female pedestrian was walking along NC 55 near Townsend Road when she was struck by a vehicle traveling west on NC 55 toward Townsend Road

It is believed that the time frame of the collision occurred on Friday, January 14 between 9:11 pm and 9:19 pm.  

The suspect vehicle is a 2021-2022 Ford F-150 crew cab pickup truck (unknown color) with damage to the driver-side quarter panel and driver-side mirror.
