(GDN) — Just after 2 AM on Saturday, the Kinston Police Department responded to Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard near Thompson Street in reference to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The officers located a deceased female in the street. The vehicle that struck the victim had fled the scene and is unknown at this time. This case is currently under investigation.
