“Moderate Drought” Conditions Remain Across Wayne County

(GDN) — Dry and drought conditions persist across much of North Carolina.  According to this week’s map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, Wayne and Lenoir counties remain in a large area of the state considered to be in “Moderate Drought.”  Other portions of Central and Western North Carolina are considered “Abnormally Dry” while the westernmost area of the state has no drought warnings at this time.
