GPD: Juvenile Suspect Charged For Numerous Vehicle Break-Ins

(GDN) — Police make an arrest in a string of Goldsboro vehicle break-ins.  On January 2nd, the Goldsboro Police Department took reports on 27 total vehicles that had been entered illegally in the early morning hours. 

The affected areas included:

  • Briarcliff Apartments N. Spence Ave.
  • Spence Place N. Spence Ave.
  • Oak Brook Apartments N. Spence Ave.
  • Tanglewood Apartments Cashwell Dr.
  • Hilldale Ln.
  • Billy Francis Dr.

The Criminal Investigations unit at the GPD investigated the vehicle B&Es and developed a 17-year-old juvenile as a suspect.  Warrants were obtained, and the juvenile suspect was arrested on January 5th.  The juvenile was charged with the following crimes at the following locations:

  • 504-A N. Hillcrest Dr.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle.
  • 506-G N. Hillcrest Dr.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle.
  • 506 G. N. Hillcrest Dr.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle.
  • 502 A N. Hillcrest Dr.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle.
  • 2505 Dawn Circle—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count (M) Damage to Property.
  • 2600-E Cashwell Dr.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle.
  • 108, 111, and 120 Hilldale Ln.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 3 counts Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Breaking and Entering, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit (F) Larceny.
  • 2600 Block Cashwell Dr.—6 counts Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit (F) Larceny.
  • 702 N. Spence Ave—2 counts B&E to Motor Vehicle.
  • 400-B N. Hillcrest Dr.—1 count B&E to Motor Vehicle, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit B&E to Motor Vehicle.

The Goldsboro P.D. says this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges/suspects are expected in the near future.
