Mrs. Peggy Ann Adams Herring, at the age of 84, passed away Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022 at Duke Medical Center in Durham.

Mr.s Herring had been employed with the Wayne County Public Schools as secretary/administrative assistant in its central office She worshiped her Lord among fellow believers at Seven Springs United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Mark H. Herring, Jr., of the home; a son, Dr. Lindsay Herring of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Anna Herring and Brandon Herring; a sister, Pearl Adams Grady of Dudley; two brothers, Travis Adams and Blake Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leonard Adams and Melba Price Adams; and her older brother, John William Adams.

Private services will be held.
