Georgia Lewis Langley, age 102, passed away Wednesday evening, January 5, 2022, in WakeMed in Raleigh. Born November 29, 1919, in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen H. and Minnie Best Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Langley; son, Robert Gene Langley; granddaughter, Joy Rast; brothers, Pete, Milford, David, and Junior Lewis; and sisters, Ruth Waddell, and Irene Howell. Ms. Georgia was a longtime member of Rains Crossroads FWB Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Sullivan and Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Sunday just prior to the service at the funeral home.
Surviving is her son, Danny R. Langley and wife Donna of Princeton; daughter, Panda L. Crocker and husband Sheryle of Smithfield; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Langley of Princeton; grandchildren, Jeannine Walker, Ken Crocker, Bryan Langley, and Sherry Gray; and eight great-grandchildren.
