Bertha Snow Smith Pate, 87, Church of God Road died Saturday.

Mrs. Pate was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church along with the Ambassador Sunday School Class and The Alpha Circle.

Graveside will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2:00 PM. at Pate-Jones Cemetery, 903 Church of God Road followed by a visitation. Dr. Josh Whitfield is officiating.

Survived is a daughter Beckie Pate Turnage (Marvin), a son, Eddie Pate. Brother, Rev. Dr. Henry Smith of Cleveland, TN, a sister, Glenda Smith of St.Paul, NC. Grandchildren, Matthew Turange and Josh Pate, Great Granddaughters, Garriann Turange and Sadie Pate.

Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by her husband Gary Cooper Pate, her parents Lillie Gertrude Best and Rev. Herman Smith, sisters Beulah Smith Davis, Gail Smith Tetterton, and a brother Wyatt Smith.
